Overview
Use NAF Codes (program #1600) to define the menu of the new Nomenclature d'Activités Française (NAF) Code field. The French government uses these codes to display and track economic statistical data.
Navigating to NAF Codes
Use the following steps to access the NAF Codes program:
1. From the main SBN toolbar, select Menu.
2. From the drop-down menu, select Go To.
3. In the Go To Program dialog box, type in "1660" and press ENTER.

Field/Column Descriptions
The following table describes the fields and columns used in NAF Codes.

Creating a NAF Code
Use the following steps to create a new NAF code:
1. Choose New Record.
w The fields in the lower pane open for changes.
2. Type an abbreviation for the code in the Abbr field.
3. Type a description of the code in the Description field.
4. Choose Save.
w The new NAF code appears in the list in the upper pane.
Changing a NAF Code
You can change the details of an existing business unit type.
Use the following steps to change a business unit type:
1. From the upper pane, select the NAF code you want to change by double-clicking or choosing Get Record.
w The NAF code details appear in the lower pane.
2. Choose Change Record.
w The Description field in the lower pane opens for changes.
3. Change the description as needed.
4. Choose Save.
Deleting a NAF Code
Use the following steps to delete a NAF code:
1. Select the NAF Code you want to delete.
2. Choose Delete Record.
w A confirmation message appears.
3. Choose Yes.
w The NAF code no longer appears in the list of types.
Restoring a Deleted NAF Code
Use the following steps to restore a Deleted NAF Code:
1. Choose Select Record to Undelete.
w The NAF Codes (1660) Undelete window appears.
2. In the Undelete window, find the NAF code you want to restore and double-click it.
w SBN restores the NAF code to the list in the upper pane.
