HikVision Service
Overview
The HikVision Service connects SBN to HikVision cameras so that live and recorded video can be brought into the SBN operator experience. When an alarm or event is tied to a HikVision camera, the service makes that camera's video available, letting operators view the associated footage as part of handling the event.
Video is reached through HikVision's hosted cloud platform. The service signs in with an account identifier and access key issued for your organization, then uses that connection to locate the cameras and pull their video on demand.
One running instance of the service handles the HikVision cameras for the site it is configured for. It runs continuously, checking for new video requests on a fixed timer.
Version Note — Framework (v95 and earlier) vs Current (.NET 8)
On SBN v95 and earlier (.NET Framework), HikVision cameras are integrated through the standalone HikVision service described on this page.
On the current (.NET 8) line, HikVision integration has moved to the new unified Cameras Loader, which hosts per-brand camera plugins (including HikVision). In the current Service Manager the standalone HikVision services are listed under Cameras and marked [Legacy]. For new HikVision setups on a current/.NET 8 system, use the Cameras Loader; the standalone service below applies to the Framework (v95 and earlier) line and to existing legacy installations.

Instructions for installing and interacting with this service is found here.
Service Properties
Only properties specific to this service are listed here. Common service properties (SBN Server connection, Logging, SMTP) are found here.
Timer (In Seconds)
How often the service checks for new video requests. The service waits this many seconds between cycles, then processes any new camera requests waiting to be handled.
ARC Id
The account identifier issued for your organization on the HikVision hosted platform. The service uses it, together with the ARC Key, to sign in to the platform and reach your cameras.
ARC Key
The access key that pairs with the ARC Id to authenticate against the HikVision hosted platform. Keep this value confidential; treat it like a password.
Listening URL
The host the service connects to for its message broker. The broker carries the video requests and responses the service handles.
Listening Port
The port the service uses to connect to the message broker for its requests and responses.
Monitoring Port
The port used to monitor the health of the message broker connection.
Authorization User
The user name used to sign in to the message broker. Leave this empty when the broker is secured with a token instead of a user name and password.
Authorization Password/Token
The password or token used to sign in to the message broker. When no Authorization User is set, this value is treated as a token.
Connection Timeout (In Seconds)
How long the service waits when establishing the message broker connection before giving up.
