Email Reports Service
Overview
The Email Reports Service delivers queued reports and notifications by email. On a fixed timer it pulls pending records from the email queue, builds each message from the queued header, body, detail and footer text, attaches the matching report file, and sends it through the configured SMTP server. Each record is processed in batches and marked complete (or failed) once the send attempt finishes, so the queue is drained automatically as new reports are queued.
Report attachments are read from the PDF output directory configured for the Report Service. The Email Reports Service requires a working SBN data-server connection and a valid SMTP server; if either is missing or invalid at start-up, the service logs the reason and stops.
