Overview

Use the Unknown Zones report to view the number of signals that occurred with an unknown zone during a specified period. To access this report, select Unknown Zones (program #1992) from the main menu of SBN.

The Unknown Zones Report

This window contains two panes: in the upper pane you define the content of the report; in the lower pane you define the job output - how, when, and where you want to print the report.

Note: See Report Parameters Pane for information on the fields in the lower pane, which are the same in every report.

Field Descriptions

The following table describes the fields used in the upper pane of the Unknown Zones report.

Field Label

Description

Period

Date - From (No Label)

You may select a range of dates to limit the report to Alarm Log entries that occurred during the range. Select the beginning date of the range.

O    This field defaults to today’s date.

Time - From (No Label)

You may select a range of time to limit the report to Alarm Log entries that occurred during the range. Select the beginning time of the range.

O    This field defaults to 0:00 (Midnight.)

Date - To
(No Label)

You may select a range of dates to limit the report to Alarm Log entries that occurred during the range. Select the ending date of the range.

O    This field defaults to tomorrow’s date.

Time - To
(No Label)

You may select a range of time to limit the report to Alarm Log entries that occurred during the range. Select the ending time of the range.

O    This field defaults to 0:00 (Midnight.)

Branch Ranges

Branch

You may select up to three ranges of branches to limit the report to branches within the ranges. Select the beginning branch number of a range. (These menus originate from program #1530.)

O    If you leave the fields blank, the report includes all branches in your user profile.

O    Branch restrictions apply.

Branch

You may select up to three ranges of branches to limit the report to branches within the ranges. Select the ending branch number of a range. (These menus originate from program #1530.)

O    If you leave the fields blank, the report includes all branches in your user profile.

O    Branch restrictions apply.

Exclude

You may exclude ranges of branches from the report by selecting the ranges and then entering a check mark in the corresponding Exclude box.

Report Example

The following graphic shows an example of the report output of Unknown Zones.

Report Column Descriptions

The following table describes the columns contained in the report output.

Column Label

Description

Name

Customer or Company name.

Date

Date the signal occurred.

Time

Time the signal occurred, displayed in user’s time.

CID

The CID on which SBN logged the signal.

Ins#

The installation number.

Dealer

ID of the dealer associated with the selected installation.

pane

Identifies the pane type from which the signal originated.

Zone

Identifies the zone from which the signal originated.

Area

Identifies the zone area from which the signal originated, if applicable.

Code

Identifies the zone code from which the signal originated, if applicable.

Total

Total number of signals received from an unknown zone during the specified period.
