Overview

System administrators can use Add User Login (program #564) to add new logins to the database. To access this program, select Add User Login (program #0564) from the main menu of SBN.

Field Descriptions

The following table describes the fields in the Add User Login window.

Field

Description

User Name

Either

  • User ID of the database administrator

  • User ID of the system administrator who is adding user logins

Password

Either

  • Password of the database administrator

  • Password provided to system administrator by database administrator

User Name

User name for the new user login. User IDs in SBN are limited to 8 characters.

Password

Type password that system administrator provides to the new user.

Password

Type password that system administrator provides to the new user.

Adding a User Login

System Administrators can use this program to add new user logins directly into the database.

Use the following steps to add a user login:

   1.    In Add User Login (program #564), complete the following fields:

l    In User Name - type the your user name, or the user name of the database administrator.

l    In Password - type the password provided by your database administrator.

l    In User Name - type the user name of the new user.

l    In Password - type the password you provide to the new user.

l    In Password - re-type the password you provide to the new user.

   2.    Choose Save.

‰    SBN adds the new user login to the database.

Note: Go to Personnel (program #1811) to finish adding the new user to the system.
