Overview

Use Branch User Access (program #1740) to include or exclude branch numbers from a user access profile. Users may access accounts based on their profile match to one of the following:

  • Branch

  • Monitoring Location

  • Service Branch

  • Receiver Branch

  • Access Branch

  • Test/Runaway Queue

Note: When option ba197 is on, only those accounts permitted by the profile in Branch User Access appear in the Monitoring Master Alarm Queue and the Test/Runaway Queue. When option ba197 is off, only those accounts permitted by the profile in Miscellaneous User Access (program #1745) appear in the Monitoring Master Alarm Queue and the Test/Runaway Queue.

To access this program, select Branch User Access (program #1740) from the main menu of SBN.

The following graphic shows Branch User Access as the program opens. The upper pane displays all previously defined profiles for branch user access.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in the main window of Branch User Access.

Abbreviation that identifies the profile.

Description

Text description of the profile.

Zooming into the Sublevel of Branch User Access

Branch User Access contains a sublevel with two tabs:

  • The Details tab

  • The Preview tab

The Details Tab

The Details tab displays previously defined masks that determine which branches a user can access.

Column Descriptions

The following table describes the columns used in the Details tab.

Branch

Branch ID or a match string that identifies branches that users with this profile may access.

Exclude

If this field displays an X, users with this profile may not access accounts in the selected branch or match string.

The Preview Tab

Use the Preview tab to view all branches included or excluded from user access.
