Overview

Use External Batches (program #1625) to define ranges of external batch numbers created for invoice and payment batches. Used for variable part of mask, example: 123___AB will result in a batch number of 123001AB and 123002AB etc.

To access this program, choose External Batches (program #1625) from the main menu of SBN.

The External Batches Screen

This screen displays previously defined ranges of external batch numbers.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in the External Batches screen.

Field	Description
Index	Sequential number of individual line item.
Dealer ID	ID of the dealer associated with batch numbers. Note: If you leave this field blank, the batch numbers are used for all Dealers.
Branch	Branch associated with batch numbers. This field accepts wildcards.
Type	1 = Invoice batch numbers - appears in program #1557 2 = Payment batch numbers - appears in programs #1577, #1579, #1585, and #1507.
Mask	Defines the format of the batch number.
Batch Number	When first defining batch numbers, enter the starting number. After numbers are generated this field displays the last used number.
