Overview
Use Codeword Types (program #1575) to define and maintain profiles of codeword types in SBN. The menu of defined codeword types appears in Data Entry (program #559).
To access this program, select Codeword Types (program #1575) from the main menu of SBN.
The Codeword Types Window
The following graphic shows Codeword Types as the program opens. The upper pane displays all previously defined codeword types.

Zooming into the Sublevel
Codeword Types contains a sublevel with a Translations tab - in which you attach translations to codeword types. Those codeword types then appear in the user’s language.
Note: Actions 1575/10-14 control access to the Translations tab and its functions.
The Translations Tab
The following graphic shows the Translations tab as it opens. The tab displays translations previously attached to the selected codeword type.

Codeword Length
Codewords accept up to 60 characters. Earlier releases limited a codeword to 20 characters; as of Release 94 the field stores up to 60, so longer codewords and identifiers are retained in full. The related contact-person code was expanded to the same 60-character length.
