Overview

Use Service Code Report to list service requests with the service codes that users selected to define and resolve problems. User’s branch restrictions apply.

The output of this report displays

  • Scheduled service requests - those associated with a Technician ID

  • Unscheduled service requests - those associated with the ID of the last user

To access this report, select Service Code Report (report #2003) from the main menu of SBN.

Data Entry Options

Options control many of the functions in the Service Code Report program. The following list describes the options related to the Service Code Report. For detailed information on each option and its default setting, see SBN Options.

  • Option tmp162 - When this option is on, only the first four digits of the CID will appear in the report.

The Service Code Report

This window contains two panes: in the upper pane you define the content of the report; in the lower pane you define the job output - how, when, and where you want to print the report.

Note: See Report Parameters Pane for information on the fields in the lower pane, which are the same in every report.

 

Field Descriptions

The following table describes the fields used in the upper pane of this report.

Note: You can use wildcard characters in selected fields. For more information on using wildcards, see Searches.

You may select a range of dates to limit the report to service requests that were outdated within that range. Select the beginning date of the range.

O    This field defaults to today’s date.

Time - From

You may select a range of time to limit the report to service requests that were outdated within that range. Select the beginning time of the range.

O    This field defaults to 00:00 (Midnight).

Date - To
(No label)

You may select a range of dates to limit the report to service requests that were outdated within that range. Select the ending date of the range.

O    This field defaults to tomorrow’s date.

Time - To

You may select a range of time to limit the report to service requests that were outdated within that range. Select the ending time of the range.

O    This field defaults to 00:00 (Midnight).

You must select the type of date on which you want to base the report:

l    Out date

l    Service request date

l    Service schedule date

l    Installation branch

l    Call type

l    Problem cause

l    CID

Resolution Code Range

Resolution - From

You may select a range of resolution codes to limit the report to service requests that contain a resolution code from within the range. Select the beginning resolution of the range. (This menu originates from program #1877.)

O    If you leave these fields blank, the report includes all resolution codes.

Resolution - To (No label)

No

You may select a range of resolution codes to limit the report to service requests that contain a resolution code from within the range. Select the beginning resolution of the range. (This menu originates from program #1877.)

O    If you leave these fields blank, the report includes all resolution codes.

Technician

Yes

You must either select a technician ID to limit the report to service requests associated with that technician ID or use the % wildcard to include all technician IDs.

Last User

Yes

You must either select the ID of the user who last touched the service request to limit the report to service requests associated with that user, or use the % wildcard to include the IDs of all users. (This menu originates from program #1501.)

Branch

Yes

You must either select a branch to limit the report to service requests associated with that branch, or use the % wildcard to include all branches. (This menu originates from program #1530.)

You must select the type of branch to limit the report to service requests from that type of branch:

Call Type Range

Call Type - From (No label)

You may select a single call type or select a range of call types to limit the report to call types within that range. Select the single call type or the beginning call type of the range. (This menu originates from program #1524.)

Call Type - To

No

You may select a range of call types to limit the report to call types within that range. Select the ending call type of the range. (This menu originates from program #1524.)

Zip Code Range

Zip Code - From (No label)

Yes

You may enter a single zip code or enter a range of zip codes to limit the report to service requests on installations in zip codes within that range. Type in the single zip code or the beginning zip code of the range.

Note: If you leave the Zip Code Range fields blank, the report will include service requests on installations in all zip codes.

Zip Code - To (No label)

Yes

You may enter a single zip code or enter a range of zip codes to limit the report to service requests on installations in zip codes within that range. Type in the single zip code or the ending zip code of the range.

Note: If you leave the Zip Code Range fields blank, the report will include service requests on installations in all zip codes.

Service Region

No

You may select a service region to limit the report to service requests on installations within that service region. You must select a Branch and select SERV in the Use Branch From field to populate this drop-down menu. (This menu originates from program #1530.)

The following graphic shows an example of the output of the Service Code Report.

Column Descriptions

The following table describes the columns used in the output of the report.

Date Selection

Identifies the type of date parameter used for the report.

Period

Identifies the specified period covered by the report.

Group by

Identifies the grouping parameter selected.

Tech

Identifies the selected technician ID or displays ALL.

Resolution Code Range

Identifies the range of selected resolution codes or displays ALL.

Last User

Identifies the user who last touched the service request, or displays ALL.

Branch

Identifies branch associated with the listed service requests or displays % for all branches.

Number of the branch associated with the service requests grouped immediately below.

CID

Identifies the CID associated with the following service request number.

Ins_No

ID of the installer associated with the service request number.

Request No

The service request number.

Schedule Date

The date the service code was used.

User

The name of the user scheduling the service code request.

Inst.

The installation used, if applicable

Call

Problem call type selected for the service request.

Prob

Problem code selected for the service request.

Item

Item code selected for the service request.

Cause

The resolution cause code selected for the service request.

Reso

The resolution code selected for the service request.

Tech

ID of the technician associated with the service request number.

SubTotal

The total number of service requests for the grouping (grouping differs according to Group by selection.)

Total

The total number of service requests for the specified period.
