Overview

HSL Commands (program #1572) allows you to define strings to send to the Front End.

To access this program, select HSL Commands (program #1572) from the main menu of SBN.

The following graphic shows HSL Commands as the program opens. The upper pane displays previously defined HSL commands.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in HSL Commands.

Field/Column

Description

FEPID

Identifies the command.

Description

Text description of the command.

Concid

ID of the primary concentrator

Port

Three fields in which you type the port numbers from the primary concentrator stack.

O    These numbers must match the route that the message takes, from the top down.

FEP#

Front End Processor number. Read-only.

Concid - Secondary (No label)

ID of the secondary concentrator.

Port (No label)

Three fields in which you type the port numbers from the secondary concentrator stack.

O    These numbers must match the route that the message takes, from the top down.

Type

Identifies the type of command.

l    M = Morse command

l    H = HSL command

Branch

Branch ID. (This menu originates from program #1530.)

Phone (1-8)

Up to eight phone numbers used by the HSL ET command.

Sending a Command to the Receiver

Use the following steps to send a command to the receiver:

   1.    In HSL Commands (program #1572), select the FEPID from which you want to send a command.

   2.    Choose Send to another user [Shift+F6].

‰    SBN opens a Send Command dialog box. If you have selected an HSL command, SBN opens the following dialog box:

‰    If you have selected a Morse command, SBN opens the following dialog box:

   3.    Select the command you want to send to the receiver.

   4.    Choose Close.

Zooming into the Sublevel of HSL Commands

HSL Commands contains a sublevel with two tabs:

  • The Display Tab - in which you can view all commands waiting to be sent to the receiver.

  • The Results tab - in which you can view the results of all commands sent to the receiver.

In the Display Tab you can view all commands waiting to be sent to the receiver.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in the HSL Commands Display tab.

Concid

ID of the concentrator.

FEP#

Identifies the command.

Port...Command

Port numbers...identifies the command.

The Results Tab

In the Results Tab you can view all commands waiting to be sent to the receiver. SBN limits the display to the previous hour and to the default branch for the user.

Date on which the transmission occurred.

Time

Time that the transmission occurred.

CID

CID.

Text

Data from the receiver.

Working in the Results Tab

The Results tab contains two function buttons:

  • Choose Toggle between Local and CS [Alt+F6] to toggle between local user time and the customer time zone.

  • Choose Redisplay Screen [Alt+F7] to refresh the display and to show any results that have arrived since you initially opened the program.
