Overview

UL Classified and Underwriter's Laboratories of Canada have certain requirements that must be abided by for any and all Central Monitoring Stations who wish

to be a UL certified central station. This UL Requirement page is specific to changes made within SBN required by UL for us to maintain our UL status.

The UL requirements which SBN is looking for to maintain it's compliance are as follows:

a.       Non-complaint if 1732 is empty

b.       Non-complaint if action 537/136 is not assigned in a minimum of one action profile.

c.       Non-complaint if certified_acct_geta returns a row count of 0.

d.       Non- complaint if option mo114 is blank.

e.       Non-complaint if option ba137 is off

f.        Non-complaint if at least one Misc_user (program 1745) does not have the ULC Regulations box checked. 

To see the "About SBN" screen, click on "Help" at the top on the taskbar followed by clicking "About" on the dropdown.

Once all of the above requirements are met, the "About SBN" screen will show the UL status of the program. (Bottom left- please see image below).

If any of the above requirements are not met, SBN will not be UL compliant and the "About SBN" will then say "UL NON-COMPLIANT." (Please see image below).
