Copy Task Service
Overview
The Copy Task Service copies SBN data from one data server to another on a schedule. It is normally used to keep a secondary or reporting server refreshed from a live server — for example, giving a training or reporting system a recent copy of production data without anyone touching the live system. On each pass the service reads the data from the source server and reloads it on the target server, so the target ends up matching the source for the categories you selected.
Three independent copy tasks are available, each with its own source server, its own target server, and its own schedule. That lets a single Copy Task Service keep several different targets up to date, or refresh different groups of data at different times of day. Each task only runs if you have configured it, and the service tests both the source and target connections at start-up — if either is unreachable the service logs the reason and stops. Because a copy replaces the data on the target server, always confirm the Target tab points at the intended machine before enabling a task.

Each of the three tabs configures one complete, independent copy job. The settings below appear on all three tabs and are set separately for each.
Source
The connection details for the server the data is read from. These are the standard SBN Server connection fields described in <a href="/help/SBN-Services/Common-Properties">Common Properties</a>.
Target
The connection details for the server the data is written to. The data on this server is replaced by the copy, so check it carefully.
Monitoring
When checked, monitoring data is included in this copy task.
Data Entry
When checked, data entry information is included in this copy task.
Service
When checked, service information is included in this copy task.
Misc.
When checked, the remaining miscellaneous data is included in this copy task. The day and time beside this option set when the copy task runs.
