Overview

Use Service Types (program #1892) to define types of service. These definitions determine how option ba215 computes dispatches. Menus of Service Types appear in the Service Log tab of Data Entry (program #559) and in several other programs throughout SBN. These menus appear in the userâ€™s language.

To access this program, select Service Types (program #1892) from the main menu of SBN.

The Service Types Window

The following graphic shows Service Types as the program opens. The upper pane displays previously defined service types.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields columns used in the main window of Service Types.

Field/Column	Description
Abbreviation	Identifies the service type.
Description	Text description of the service type.

Zooming into the Sublevel of Service Types

The sublevel of Service Types contains three tabs:

Service Types Details - in which you can link agency types that Dispatch uses for the selected service type
Translations - in which you attach translations to the selected service type. The menus of service types in other programs appear in the userâ€™s language.
Rental Product - in which you attach specific equipment that customers may rent to the selected service type

The Service Types Details Tab

The Service Types Details tab appears in the lower pane of the window. The tab displays agencies previously linked to the selected service type.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in the Service Types Details tab.

Field/Column	Description
Agency Type	Identifies the type of agency associated with the selected service type.
Count	Number of dispatches allowed within the number of days specified or within a year for the selected agency within the selected service type.
Days	Number of days back that SBN searches the Alarm Log for dispatches associated with the selected agency within the selected service type.
Calendar Year	Enter a check mark in this box to designate that the count applies to a calendar year. O If this box displays a check mark, the Calendar Year designation overrides the Days designation.

The Translations Tab

The following graphic shows the Translations tab. The tab displays previously defined translations for the selected service type.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in the Translations tab.

Field/Column	Description
Language Code	Code that identifies the language of the associated translation.
Description	Translated text of the selected service type.

The Rental Product Tab

The following graphic shows the Rental Product tab. The tab displays previously defined rental products for the selected service type.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in the Rental Product tab.

Field/Column	Description
Abbreviation/Description	Product that customers may rent when they subscribe to the selected service.
Uplift	Percentage above which the rental rate for the product cannot increase or decrease per cycle period.
