Commission Cycle Discount Factor

Overview

Use Commission Cycle Discount Factor (program #1584) to enter cycle factors to apply to work order commissions based on cycle fee amounts. In order for SBN to apply a cycle factor from this program, a work order must meet the following conditions:

the cycle fee amount on the work order falls within the range defined in this program
the work order has personnel (a Salesperson, Installer, or Telemarketer) assigned with the commission type defined in this program
the work order price list group includes the price list defined in this program
the contract term of the work order contract falls within the range defined in this program

When a work order does not meet these conditions, SBN applies the default cycle factor in the work order Commission Calculation window.

This program relies on the information in other programs, (such as the cycle factor entered in Commission Work Order Types (program #1808) and the cycle fee percentage entered in Commission Items (program #1810)), to interact with the commission calculation process. To access this program, select Commission Cycle Discount Factor (program #1584) from the main menu of SBN.

The following graphic shows Commission Cycle Discount Factor as the program opens. The upper pane displays previously defined cycle factors.

Field/Column Descriptions

The following table describes the fields and columns used in Commission Cycle Discount Factor.

Field/Column	Description
Price List	Identifies the Price List to use for the selected cycle factor. This menu originates from program #1533.
Type	Personnel Commission Type. SBN applies the selected factor to personnel with this commission type assigned in program #1811 when the work order cycle fee amount falls within the range for the selected factor. This menu originates from program #1805.
Minimum	Minimum cycle fee amount to which SBN applies the selected cycle factor.
Maximum	Maximum cycle fee amount to which SBN applies the selected cycle factor.
Factor	Cycle factor (percentage) applied to the calculation of commission on a work order for the cycle fee range specified.
Minimum Term	Minimum contract term (in months) within which a work order contract must be for SBN to apply the selected cycle factor to the work order cycle commission. If the values in Minimum Term and Maximum Term fields are both zero, SBN applies the cycle factor to all work orders that meet the following three conditions: Cycle fee amount on the work order falls within the range defined in this program Work order has personnel assigned with the commission type defined in this program Work order price list group includes the price list defined in this program
Maximum Term	Maximum contract term (in months) within which a work order contract must be for SBN to apply the selected cycle factor to the work order cycle commission. If the values in Minimum Term and Maximum Term fields are both zero, SBN applies the cycle factor to all work orders that meet the following three conditions: Cycle fee amount on the work order falls within the range defined in this program Work order has personnel assigned with the commission type defined in this program Work order price list group includes the price list defined in this program
