The following graphic shows a status bar with a combination of flashing symbols.

Additional Information

The following table describes additional information about SBN displayed in the status bar.

The status bar displays the premises time and date. In some tabs, such as Dispatch or Alarm Queue, you can toggle to the operator’s time and date using the toggle button.

The status bar displays the name of your SBN server.

The status bar displays the user name of the current user.

The status bar displays the amount of memory that SBN is currently using.

Action 537/124 controls this symbol.

The counter in the status bar displays the number and types of private alarms in the alarm queue:

  • Red = the number of new alarms

  • Yellow = the number of acknowledged alarms

  • Green = the number of alarms that are acknowledged with an action taken

  • Maroon = the number of timed-out alarms for the operator's terminal ID (only appears when option sv066 is on)

The count refreshes every 60 seconds with up to 100 alarms showing on the counter.

If you are not working in the Alarm Queue tab, these numbers refer to the alarms in the default queue. If you are working in the Alarm Queue tab, these numbers refer to the currently viewed queue. Regardless of the queue, these numbers reflect the alarms belonging to the operator (private), not all alarms (master).

Note: When option statbar is on, the alarm queue slots in the status bar are blank and do not display the number of alarms in the queue.

The status bar displays the currently active skill set for the current user when option ba491 is defined. Option ba491 defines the interval in seconds that SBN refreshes the User Skills display in the SBN status bar. If the value of this option is 0 (zero), SBN does not display user skills in the status bar.

The status bar displays skills in red text if a temporary skill set is in place. It displays skills in black text if no temporary skill set is defined. (Define skill sets in program #531.)

Note: The action profile name assigned to the user appears in the SBN Status Bar Skills pane after the set of currently defined skills. Spaces in the set of defined skills appear as underscores.

When you have Dispatch (program #537) open, the status bar displays the autofeed status currently defined in the Autofeed Status field of Dispatch and the amount of time your terminal has been in that status in hours, minutes, and seconds (hh:mm:ss).

The status bar displays this data in red text if alarm autofeed is inactive in Dispatch, and displays it in green text if alarm autofeed is active.
