Overview

Use AP Fiscal Control to define fiscal dates for your company. Each Accounts Payable accounting period is usually set for either monthly or yearly. This process computes all AP transactions coming in or going out of your company. The fiscal process is only run once for the selected fiscal dates. Once you set the fiscal date for a future date, you cannot set it back to a date before that. For example, if you set the Fiscal Year for the year 2010, you cannot change the date back to a date before that. Use this program carefully.

Option bl068 determines if a warning is displayed if the Closed Fiscal Period payment date is less than the Fiscal Date in program #1884, AP Fiscal Control. Any date greater than that gives no warning. Option bl010 controls how far in the future the month end date can be set for.

To access this program, select Fiscal Control (program #1884) from the main menu of SBN.

Setting Fiscal Dates

Use the following steps to set a new fiscal date:

1.  Choose the Fiscal Month, Fiscal Year, or Fiscal Day you want to run using the calendar.

Note: You can type the date, but you must type all 6 digits with slashes.

2.  Choose Save.

  w If the date occurs before the current date the following warning appears.

  w SBN copies all current balances and open invoices to special fiscal tables that are used to run financial reports.
