Overview
Use Work Order Hold Reason (program #1896) to define the reasons that a user may place a work order on hold. The menu Hold Reasons appears in Work Order Queue (program #574). Any work order hold reason attached to a work order appears in the Open Work Order list in Marketing, Data Entry, and the Contract Master.
To access this program, select Work Order Hold Reasons (Program #1896) from the main menu of SBN.
The Work Order Hold Reasons Window
The following graphic shows Work Order Hold Reasons as the program opens. The window displays previously defined hold reasons.

Field/Column Descriptions
The following table describes the fields and columns used in the main window of Work Order Hold Reasons.

Identifies the selected work order Hold reason. |
Bypass WO Q Color Rules |
Enter a check mark in this box to bypass or override any color definitions used in the Work Order Queue (program #574). O For more information on using colors in the Work Order Queue, see Work Order Queue. |
Hold |
Enter a check mark in this box to prevent a work order with the selected hold reason from being closed. (Option ba408 must be on to prevent work orders with the selected Hold reason from being closed.) |
Confirm all parts returned. |
When this check box is selected, SBN prevents you from assigning this work order hold reason to a work order when there are picked items that have not been returned. SBN also displays an error message. |

Special Edit |
When a Work Order is set to a Hold Type with this attribute set to execute the close validation logic for the Work Order. If validation fails, then a present message is sent to the user and prevents Work Order save. |

Zooming into the Sublevel
Work Order Hold Reasons contains a sublevel with a Translations tab, in which you may attach translations to Hold reasons. Hold reasons then appear in SBN in the user’s language.
Note: Actions 1896/20-24 control access to the Translations tab and functions.

The Translations tab appears below the main window and displays previously defined translations for the selected work order Hold reason.
